Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

SALAWAT IN QASIDA
THE FAMOUS QASIDA THAT BEGINS:
AN-NABI SALLU ‘ALAYH SALAWAATULLAH ‘ALAYH

 

Request: Please recite Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam after the name of our Beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad, Allahumma salli wa sallim ‘alayh

The Prophet! Invoke Allah’s blessings on him
Allah’s blessings are upon him
and all those who invoke blessings on him
obtain blessings

The Prophet! (know) O the one who is present
the Prophet is the best of all the human beings
send salutations on him
for whom the moon split and descended upon him

The Prophet! O those who are present
know it with the knowledge of certainty
that indeed the Lord of the worlds
made it obligatory to send blessings upon him

The Prophet is the best in all creation
the Intercessor on the Day of Judgement
who gets shade from the cloud
successful is he who invokes blessings on him

The Prophet in his habits
has the best character and noble nature
the gazelle came up to him
and the camel greeted him

The Prophet the Arabian
the Intercessor for sinners
my pillar of support and my pursuit
a treasure for one who seeks refuge with him

The Prophet is the grandfather of Sayyidina Imam al-Hasan
whatever he did was the best
he introduced the five daily Prayers
which Allah The Creator made compulsory on him

The Prophet is the bridegroom
whose remembrance revives dead hearts
the Christians and the Magians
became Muslims at his hand

The Prophet is beautiful
what he says is the truth
and the Qur’an is a thing of beauty
which his Lord revealed to him

The Prophet is the Divinely selected
the owner of Zamzam and Mount Safa
who was made noble by Allah The Exalted
invoke blessings on him one and all

The Prophet is the selected one
the Prophet who stayed at Quba
to love him is my religion
our Lord sends blessings on him

The Prophet is the best in all mankind
he ascended a lofty ascent
and travelled to Allah The Guardian
send blessings on him O my Lord

And Sayyidina Imam al-Hasan and Sayyidina Imam al-Husayn
are two fragrant flowers of the Prophet
Sayyidatina Fatima is the delight of his eyes
invoke blessings on their grandfather

O my God! Give me a chance
for the sake of the charitable Prophet
to visit him so that I could be rightly guided
if only I could speed up to him

Allahumma salli wa sallim ‘alayh
may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him
