Rahmatullāhi ‘alayh
And he (the Shaykh) said, may Allah be pleased with him.
When some of them begin the recitation of Hadith, over there is live coal, and over there (again), there is aromatic smoke. The fragrance of the smoke (with incense, bakhur) spreads in the middle of the gathering. We have seen it many times even in the Sacred Masjid (in Makkah) and in Masjid an-Nabawi (in Madina). Many a times with the refreshing fragrance of the smoke, there is the presence of pleasant souls. We have not reached the position where the soul of the Chosen (Prophet, Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa Sallam) comes to us but he is merciful to his (Muslim) Community. For his (world-wide) Community, he is kind, merciful. And his mercy towards the poor and the weak is greater than towards the big people. The poor (referred to here) are not poor in possessions. Their hearts are humble. The Prophet, may Allah bless him, said about them:
O Allah! Let me live poor, and cause me to pass ahead poor, and raise me up (on the Day of Resurrection) among the poor.
The poor are those who entrust the matter to Allah, and they are in need of Allah, and not in need of people. And there is nothing better than the Sayings of the Prophet, may Allah bless him. When we recite his Sayings and we recite (books about) his noble attributes, it is as if we see him in our midst, may Allah’s blessing and His peace be upon him.
It is said that Ahmad (Prophet Muhammad) is remembered amidst fragrance.
So do you have a Prophetic Tradition about it that you follow?So we tell them, no; but Ahmad (Prophet Muhammad) is pleasant
so we remember him, and the thing is remembered with the (similar) thing.
