DARS 9: THE PROPHET IS CLOSER TO THE BELIEVERS
THAN THEIR OWNSELVES

In the words of my master, my grandfather, my Allah make people benefit from him, who explained what Allah, The Exalted said (in the Qur’an):

The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves. (33:6)

My grandfather explained, may Allah be pleased with him.

The Prophet is closer to you than your own self. When you have a requirement and the Prophet has a requirement, give priority to the Prophet’s requirement over your own requirement. Give priority to the Prophet in everything, in both worldly as well as religious matters. Even if he wants anything from your wealth, it is your duty to give him priority with it.

And his wives are (as) their mothers. (33:6)

It is not permitted for anyone to marry them after him, may Allah bless him, because he is the father of the souls.
